The construction work consisted mainly of cleaning and removing sediments from both riverbeds, clearing the riparian vegetation and repairing the existing damaged fortifications of both streams. The original fortification made of precast concrete was replaced by a new one, which consists of drainage gutters, cladding slabs and a slope slope in a uniform slope.
The performed repair restored the flow in the clogged sections and stabilized the riverbeds in the entire length of the repair. The bridges in the inner city, as well as in the section of the confluence, were fortified with stone paving with the underlying concrete, and securing concrete thresholds were always placed in front of and behind the bridge. This will ensure a harmless outflow of surface water through the village.
